What Is Venetian Plaster?
Venetian plaster is a wall and ceiling finish made of slaked lime putty with marble dust. Applied with a spatula or trowel in thin, multiple layers, it is then burnished to create a smooth surface with the appearance of depth and texture.
Our Venetian plaster is true stone veneer plaster imported from Verona, Italy — mined from the same source for over 500 years. The plaster is slaked for nearly two years, allowing maximum diffusion of humidity and preventing the formation of mold spores and bacteria.
The result is a surface of extraordinary beauty — luminous, tactile, and alive with depth. No two applications are identical, making every Venetian plaster wall a unique work of art.
